From Trash to Treasure

This beautiful mosaic was a gift from a sweet nephew. I love blue and have accent pieces in my decor. When I opened this gift he came running with the biggest grin to share the story behind it. “I found it in the trash pile across the street and thought of you!” He saw the beauty even among the trash. I hope that I can view the world and the people of the world with that same perspective. Seeking to see the treasures and beauty that exist despite the surroundings. I look at the blue glass each morning and am reminded of the treasures that are out there for us to find. The beauty God has created for us and the gems that we can find in relationships if we are open to them. I am thankful for this little mosaic and the trash pile it came from. And I am thankful for the reminder to “see” the world differently. I am thankful that God sees the beauty in the ‘trash pile’ of our lives and pulls us out and shows us our beautiful purpose. Where have you found unexpected beauty or treasure?
