Piece to a Whole

Ephesians 2:10, ESV For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

2,000 pieces. A multitude of shapes and colors. Few with straight edges to create a frame. But no way to see the completed piece without the picture on the box.

This is how life can appear. Pieces astray, not sure the top from the bottom. Some sections can feel like they are coming together while in others areas you are sure some pieces are completely lost.

I love puzzles and analogies. I don’t love uncertainty. What I know is that God sees the whole picture. He painted the picture of my life and yours with care. It will come together. There will be surprises, twists and turns, pain and wins. But each piece has been crafted to perfectly fit to another. The kindness of a stranger, a broken heart, the next promotion or a lost championship game. Every piece makes the picture. We have to trust God through all of the shapes.

What piece might God be asking you to play in the lives of others? You may fill a large section of someone’s life or only a single point. Both scenarios are necessary for the completion. Be ready to fill those gaps as God directs and watch for how perfectly God will provide in your own puzzle.
